How To Set Up Easy Mode On Galaxy S7 And Galaxy S7 Edge
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are powerful smartphones. For those that don’t need all the features and settings on the Galaxy S7, there is a way to enable “Easy Mode” on Galaxy S7 to reduce the complexity of the features of Android and will allow for a simpler experience for the Samsung Galaxy S7 for new users.
The benefits of enabling Easy Mode on the Galaxy S7 will create a simple home screen to navigate with basic settings. When you switch between Easy Mode and the standard settings, all data and information will be transferred over. The following are instructions on how to setup and enable Easy Mode on the Galaxy S7.
Enabling and disabling Easy Mode
The best way to enable Easy Mode on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is going to the settings menu and selecting the “Personalization” option. Once there, select Easy Mode. On that selection page, you will see a toggle allowing you to switch between Easy and Standard Mode. There will be able to select which apps you want to place on the launcher when you access Samsung Galaxy S7 Easy Mode. After you have selected which apps you want on Easy Mode, you’ll be returned to the home screen that will now be easier to use and navigate.
Now when you get to the home screen, there will be three different pages you can view, with one of the pages including widgets like calendar, clock and weather. You can also use six other widgets like the flashlight, magnifier, camera, phone, messages and the browser. On the left side of the home screen, you can view your favorite contacts that you can manually adjust to fit your needs.
When the Galaxy S7 is in Easy Mode, notifications and other buttons will work the same as in standard mode. But you may notice that the Settings menu has a slight visual change, though, surfacing the most important and often-used settings options and hiding the rest behind a “More settings” button.
Configuring Samsung Galaxy S7 in Easy Mode
The best way to configure the Samsung Galaxy S7 in Easy Mode is by using the large “+” signs on empty spots on the homescreens, where you can add different widgets to the page. You can use these spots to also add favorite contacts or individual apps, all depending on the way you want to customize your Galaxy S7.
When you select on the empty spaces on the home screen to add an widget or app, a list of alphabetized apps that you have already installed will show up. Then you need to search for the app that you want to add from the list and select it. To access an app that isn’t pinned to the home screen for time-to-time, simply hit the “More apps” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
You can also remove and rearrange apps and homes screens in Safe Mode. This can be done by select the menu button in the top corner of the screen and selecting “edit.” Then you can select the “-” button over any app that can be removed, and its shortcut will be replaced with an empty space where you can then add an app of your choice.
Go Back To Normal Mode From Safe Mode
If you want to go back to the standard settings from Safe Mode, all you need to do is go to the settings page and search for Easy Mode. There you need to switch the button back to “Standard Mode” and select “done.” Your normal home screen layout will all be returned to normal.
