But with the recent release of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, you can use a new software called the Samsung Smart Switch. The Samsung Smart Switch is similar to Samsung Kies and allows you to easily transfer contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars and more to your Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Samsung Smart Switch allows you to switch from iPhone to a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge fairly easily, and you don’t even have to connect your phone via USB. The way that Samsung Smartswitch works is that it connects directly to your iCloud and allows you to download your data from there. Download the Smart Switch software

SmartSwitch can be downloaded from the official Samsung website and below are the links for both Mac and Windows, the file is about 37MB in size:

 

 

When you set up your new device, you’ll be prompted with a pop-up link to download the Smart Switch app. Tap “DOWNLOAD AND OPEN” to start the installation.

Using iCloud, you can transfer the following content to you Samsung Galaxy device including contacts, photos, text messages, calendar events, alarms & Wi-Fi settings. call history, browser bookmarks and your applications list.
