How to Pair Beats X with Your iPhone
To pair your Beats X with an iPhone that runs on iOS 10, follow these steps:
- Unlock your iPhone.
- Hold your Beats X earphones next to it.
- Power on your earphones by pressing the power button for 1 second. The indicator light on your earphones should turn on and begin to flash.
- Your iPhone will ask you to connect to Beats X. Accept and follow the on-screen instructions on your iPhone to complete the connection process. If you don’t see any messages on your iPhone, press the power button on the earphones again and hold it for 5 seconds.
How to Pair Beats X with Other Bluetooth Devices
If you would like to pair your Beats X with another Bluetooth device, follow these steps:
- Hold the Power button on your Beats X for 5 seconds tops. Your earphones will be discoverable once the indicator light starts blinking.
- Turn on the other device’s Bluetooth.
- Go to your device’s Bluetooth Settings.
- Search for nearby devices and select your Beats X.
How to Pair Beats X with Different Devices
Let’s say that you want to disconnect your Beats X from your iPhone and pair them with a different device. When you power Beats X on, the earphones will automatically search for the last device that they’ve been connected to. In this case, they’ll search for your iPhone.
Because Beats X remember the device that they’ve been previously paired with, the indicator light won’t flash once the device is powered on. So, if you want to pair your earphones with another device, here’s what you have to do.
For iPhone, iPod, or iPad devices that run on iOS 10:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access your iOS device’s Control Center.
- Navigate to the Now Playing card by swiping to the side.
- At the bottom of the card, tap the device name.
- Choose your Beats X earphones.
For all other devices:
- Navigate to your device’s Bluetooth Settings.
- From the list of Bluetooth devices, select your Beats X earphones.
If you can’t find your Beats X earphones on the list of Bluetooth devices, press and hold the power button on the earbuds for 5 seconds or refresh the list.
Even though they have the Apple W1 chip built-in, the Beats X are still your regular Bluetooth earbuds and you should be able to connect them to every computer, tablet, and phone that has built-in Bluetooth. a) To answer or end a call press the center button once.
b) To answer the second incoming call and put the first one on hold, press the center button once.
c) To reject an incoming call, press and hold the center button for a couple of seconds.
d) To stop listening through Beats X and send the audio to your smartphone’s speaker, press the center button twice.
