How to Cancel Life360 Premium on iPhone

Life360 is a multi-award-winning app that can be used to create a private social network with the members of your family. It’s available on both iPhone and Android for free. However, to access more of its safety features, including anything to do with their driver assistance options, you have to pay for a monthly subscription.

If you no longer want or need the extras offered by one of their premium packages, you’ll have to cancel your subscription to the service. In this article, we’ll show you how to do so on both the newer and older versions of iOS.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

What you need to do depends on the model of your iPhone, and whether you’ve upgraded the operating system to the latest version.

Cancelling on iOS version 12.1.4 or Newer

If your phone is a newer model and is updated to the latest version of iOS, then cancelling your monthly subscription is relatively easy. You just need to take the following steps:

  1. Open the App Store app on your iPhone’s home screen.
  2. Tap on the account icon for your profile in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on Manage Subscriptions.
  4. Lap on Life360.
  5. Tap on Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling on iOS version 12.1.3 or Older

If you have an older iPhone, or if you haven’t updated your operating system in a while, the process isn’t quite as quick. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Tap on the Settings app on your phone’s home screen.
  2. Tap on [Your Name] Apple ID, iCloud, iTunes & App Store at the top of the Settings screen.
  3. Tap on iTunes & App Store.
  4. Tap on Apple ID: [Your email address].
  5. Tap on View Apple ID.
  6. Enter your password if requested.
  7. Tap on Subscriptions.
  8. Tap on Life360.
  9. Tap on Cancel Subscription.
  10. Tap on Confirm on the pop-up window.

Cancelling on Android

If any Android users are reading this article, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered too. Here’s what you’ll have to do to cancel your Google Play premium subscription for Life360. You have two options. You can either cancel it via the Google Play app, or you call up Google Wallet on 855-836-3987, and then press 1.

Here’s how to do it via the app:

  1. Tap on the Google Play Store app on your phone or tablet’s home screen.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Tap on the Menu button (three vertically stacked horizontal lines).
  4. Tap on Subscriptions.
  5. Tap on Life360.
  6. Tap on Cancel subscription.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your cancellation.

You can also access your Google Play subscriptions from your computer by taking these steps:

  1. Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
  2. Enter google.com/store/account/subscriptions into the browser bar, or click on that link.
  3. Sign in to your Google Account.
  4. Click on Life360.
  5. Click on Manage.
  6. Click on Cancel Subscription.

Things to Keep in Mind

There are few things to remember when cancelling your subscription:

  1. You need to do it at least twenty-four hours before the next payment is due, otherwise, it will still be processed and you’ll be subscribed for one more month.
  2. If you cancel part-way through a month, you’ll be able to use the premium service until the next payment date.
  3. Deleting the app from your phone, or deleting your Circle, won’t cancel your premium subscription to Life360. You’ll have to follow the steps detailed above to make sure you don’t pay for another month.

Done and Dusted

If you want to end your premium subscription to Life360, you now know how. You can still use the free service, though your features will, of course, be limited compared to what you were paying for previously. Why do you want to cancel your subscription?
