The Best Tapping Games for iPhone [November 2019]

It’s funny how phones are used for almost everything apart from making phone calls these days. They can play music, browse the internet, stream movies, and play all sorts of games. One of the most diverting, and easy to use genre of games on phones are tappers.

Also known as clickers or incremental games, these games often rely on repetitive tapping away at your phone screen, though they’re getting increasingly complex. If you’re looking for a great way to pass the commute or to liven up your time in a dentist’s lobby, then these are some of the best tapping games out there.

Final Taptasy

Wearing its RPG inspiration firmly on its sleeve, Final Taptasy from Nsouls uses rather adorable, anime-esque retro pixel graphics to show of massive battles between your roster of three heroes and the monstrous demonic forces of evil. With a huge roster of heroes to collect, and loads of weapons, abilities, and treasures to find, there’s always something new just around the corner.

There’s even a New Game+ system in place that allows you to start from the top with all the things you’ve unlocked so far. That, combined with a ridiculous number of levels to play through, makes this a near endless source of tapping glee.

Alchemy

From the manic to the thoughtful. Alchemy from Nyblecraft Pty Ltd is a puzzle game that sees you combining the various elements available to you to create an ever-increasing array of substances and characters. It’s been expanded quite a lot from its original release, and is a great choice if you don’t feel like playing the high intensity options out there.

It requires both imagination and logical thinking, though there’s a handy hint system if you really get stuck. There are 254 elements to be found in the latest version, including, somewhat bizarrely, Donald Trump. We won’t dare suggest what combines to create him.

Tap Titans 2

With a slew of RPG elements like skill trees, upgradable characters, craftable weapons, collectable pets, and plenty of unique abilities to be found, Tap Titans 2 by Game Hive Corp is a worthy successor to the first installment. With 150 bosses to beat over 14 different worlds, you’ll probably wear your fingers to the bone before you make your way through this action-adventure-RPG hybrid.

It’s even got a multiplayer mode so you can team up with your friends to take on clan raids. There’s also the option to show how fast your thumbs can fly in global tournaments. It’s fun, fast paced, and often challenging, which means the time will fly by when you’re playing this game.

Doomsday Clicker

This game is essentially plays like the Overseer from Fallout Shelter got drunk and decided to nuke ‘em all again and start over. In Doomsday Clicker from PikPok, you are in charge of the post-apocalyptic reconstruction. You will be building up your underground base with loads of weird and wonderful characters that have a chance to mutate as time goes by.

But really, you’re not actually trying to save the world. You are an evil mastermind after all, which is why you have access to the Big Red Button. Press it, and the world will end all over again, in spectacular and often hilarious fashion. This will allow you to start from scratch with a more efficient and faster working band of weirdos. Lots of fun, and often funny, this tapper will reward you for playing, while still ticking over when you don’t have time.

Bitcoin Billionaire

Bitcoin Billionaire by Noodlecake is an idle clicker with a sense of humor. Starting out from a bare bones office, your objective is to expand your Bitcoin empire until you’re filthy rich. Investing your coins in various upgrades makes sure that you’re always making more money. It’s kept fresh by the inclusion of a time travel mechanic that changes the setting and upgrade available.

There’s also a load of minigames that spice up the action, which are tied to negative effects to your burgeoning financial machine. You’ll need to play them to stop the debuffs to your income. Surprisingly addictive and funny, you’ll wonder how in the hell you just lost two hours to fake Bitcoin mining.

All Tapped out

From the easy, to the cerebral, to the manic, there’s a tapping game out there for everyone. They’re a great way to distract yourself from boring queues and tedious trips. If you’ve got a favorite clicker that you think should have been on this list, why not tell us in the comments section below?
