How to Cancel CBS All Access on a Roku

Thanks to the proliferation of premium streaming services like CBS All Access and Netflix, it’s never been easier to cut the cord to your cable subscription. You can watch whatever they have available whenever suits you, and you don’t have to pay for equipment rental costs. And, using a device like a Roku set top box or TV, you can easily stream them from your living room.

However, not every streaming service is born equal, and sometimes you’ll want to change up your options, or just cut back on your monthly expenses. If you want to discontinue your CBS All Access subscription through your Roku device, then fear not! We’ve put together this guide so you can easily cancel it.

How to Cancel Your CBS All Access Subscription

There are a couple of ways of cancelling you CBS All Access monthly subscription using either your Roku device, or your computer or smart device. When you cancel your service then you’ll have until the end of the current billing period to still watch show on there, or until the end of your trial period. Just make sure to end it before the next payment date to avoid paying for another month’s worth.

If you want to end your monthly subscription or trial for CBS All Access using your Roku set top box or on your Roku smart TV, here are the steps you’ll need to follow:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku’s remote control.
  2. Use the remote’s purple directional buttons to navigate to the CBS All Access channel on your TV screen.
  3. Press the Star button (*) on the remote.
  4. Highlight Manage Subscription.
  5. Press the OK button on your remote.
  6. Select Cancel Subscription.

When you’re going through the cancellation procedure, your Roku box or TV will let you know how long the service will still be active for. If you’re planning on binging The Twilight Zone while you still can, this is how long you have to do it.

Cancelling via the Web

If you’ve not got access to your Roku box or TV, or you want to end your subscription when you’re away from home, you can do so by using Roku’s official website. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

  2. Go to http://my.roku.com/ or click that link.
  3. Sign in to your Roku account if it asks you to.
  4. Click or tap on Manage your subscriptions.
  5. Find CBS All Access in the list of your subscriptions on the next page that loads.
  6. Tap on the Unsubscribe button to the right side of CBS All Access in the list.

You can see on the list when your CBS All Access subscription is valid until, so you might want to hurry up and finish the shows you have on the waiting list.

I subscribed to CBS ALL ACCESS and was charged each month for $5.99 (plus taxes totalling $6.56 a month on my visa card. A couple of months ago the channel disappeared…no channel & no access to be able to see any shows and no way to even cancel the subscription. It was gone. But we continue to get charged for the channel that we no longer can even watch. I tried going to Roku.com to cancel the subscription, but CBS All Access didn’t show up. So, how do we cancel it if we don’t have access to the channel…it’s not there on Roku at all? I called the Roku for CBS phone number listed on my credit card billing, but all I got was a recording telling me to go online to support.roku.com. All I now want to do is get this charge off my credit card.

I cancelled CBS All Access because it’s far too political for my taste. Nearly every add was bashing something about President Trump. I am so sick of all of this political crap and I don’t intend to pay to have it pushed into my home.
