How to Fix a Disney Plus ZIP Code Error

Immediately upon its launch, Disney Plus experienced much higher traffic than expected. This resulted in various errors. Since then, however, Disney has managed to resolve these problems and everything should be working much smoother.

That’s not to say that everything is error free. But can count on each error to come with a unique code. Knowing what the error is about can help you a lot in clearing things up. Here are some of the most frequently encountered error codes.

Error Code 4

This error appears when Disney is trying to process your transaction. There must have been problems with your transaction, either on your end or Disney’s. You might also have used an invalid zip code, so check this first. You may have entered an invalid CVV code, the 3 numbers found on the back of your credit or debit card. Alternatively, you may have entered a wrong expiration date.

Keep in mind that you can’t use a non-US card to pay for this. There may also be some problems with government-issued cards.

Error Code 9

If this error pops up, it means that you have been logged out of Disney Plus. Try logging in again as soon as you see this error appear. If you are unable to log in and the error persists, it might be that your payment info cannot be processed. Check whether you’ve entered the right credit card number, zip code, etc.

Error Code 30

Error code 30 appears when you try to add a device to your account. It indicates that the action was unsuccessful. There are three possible reasons behind this error. First, check to see if you’ve reached the 10-device Disney Plus limit. Disney allows you to add a maximum of 10 devices to your account. The error may have occurred during the pairing/linking process. Perform the pairing again if that’s the case. Finally, this error will pop up if you’re trying to link a device that has already been added before.

Error Code 31

This error refers to your location. It will appear if Disney Plus is unable to verify your location for some reason. Enable location services on your device if you’re trying to access Disney Plus through your cellphone/tablet.

For iOS devices, go to Settings, then tap Privacy and select Location Services. First, flip the switch to on. Then, scroll all the way down to the Disney Plus entry on the list and select During using the app.

For Android devices, things are much simpler. Just go to Settings, select Location, and slide the switch on.

Error Code 34

This error appears when trying to create a new profile. It indicates that you have reached the upper limit of profiles that you can create. Disney Plus allows you to create seven user profiles and stream to four devices at the same time. If you still want to create a new profile, you’ll have to delete an old one first. Do this by logging in to your account and navigating to Profile. Then, select Edit Profile. Towards the bottom of this screen, you’ll see Delete Profile.

Disney Plus Error Code 83

Error code 83 is an unknown error on Disney Plus devices. The error may occur when there’s a connection, compatibility, or account issue with your Disney Plus device.

To solve this problem, make sure that you’ve closed the Disney Plus apps on all of your mobile devices. Make sure that you’ve deactivated the GPS. Log out and try logging in again. If the error persists, you may try using a VPN to connect to a server in a different region.
