But do you know that there’s a quicker way to get to the calculator app on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+? Ever heard of widgets? You probably don’t know that widgets are one of the best things on your smartphone. Widgets are very similar to app icons or basically, it makes the tools work as an app. With the calculator widget, you can now reach it with just one tap.

Using Calculator On Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9+

To use the calculator, you need to switch on your Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ first. Next is to rotate the screen by tilting horizontally, but take note that rotating screen would only work only if you have it enabled.
 

To Enable Rotate Screen

  1. Switch on your Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
  2. Swipe your finger down from the top part of the screen to show the status bar
  3. Then tap on the Rotate Screen icon to have it enabled
  4. Now try tilting your phone to check if it worked

Once you have successfully enabled the Rotate Screen, try opening your calculator app and tilt the Samsung S9, the scientific calculator option will show up only if it is in landscape mode. If the phone is in portrait mode, basic calculator function will then show up.
That’s how the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ calculator works. It has both the basic and scientific functions for a more complicated equation. These two functions work depending on the screen orientation. The basic calculator works in portrait mode while scientific calculator shows up in landscape mode.
