How To Set Custom Ringtones On LG G6

Did you know that you can set custom ringtones on the LG G6? Most LG G6 owners already know that you can change your default ringtone, but some users are unaware that they can set custom ringtones for individual contacts. It’s possible to set different tones and songs to play when different contacts call you. It’s a feature built into the LG G6 that’s surprisingly easy to set up. Take a look at our guide for creating custom ringtones on the LG G6 below.

How To Set Custom Ringtones On LG G6

With the latest OS update on the LG G6, it’s now very simple to add custom ringtones to any contact within your contacts list. You can choose a default ringtone, a ringtone for individual callers or even change the text tone for each contact on your contacts list.

  1. Switch your LG G6 on.
  2. Open the dialler app.
  3. Next, find the contact you’d like to change the ringtone for.
  4. Tap the edit icon next to the contact’s name. It looks like a small pencil.
  5. Next, tap the Ringtone option that appears on the next page.
  6. You’ll now be shown a page with a variety of different ringtones.
  7. Browse through the ringtones, test them and choose which one you’d like to use.
  8. If the ringtone isn’t viewable on this list, tap the “Add” button and locate within the file manager.

Following the steps above will help you to change the ringtone for an individual contact on your LG G6. Every time that specific contact calls you, the custom ringtone will play. By default, when other contacts call you, your LG G6 will play the ringtone you previously had. You can set different ringtones for as many different contacts as you’d like.
