  1. Turn on the Apple iPhone and iPad in iOS 10.
  2. Go to the “Phone” app.
  3. Go to the “Favorites” section.
  4. Select on the plus “+” sign in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  5. Select the contact that you want to favorite or star.
  6. Select on their mobile number to favorite it.
