If you want to create a StockX account, you have to provide your credit card and billing information. That’s how the company ensures that you’re not going to flake once a bid goes through. But can you delete your payment method on StockX if you want to?
Deleting the Payment Method on StockX
The short answer is – no, you can’t delete your payment method on StockX. All you can do is update your credit card information. In order to have a valid StockX account, you have to provide the buying and shipping info, as well as seller and payout info.

Once you click on it, that will finish the verification process. After that, you can’t turn around and delete the payment method. But what can you do if you don’t want your personal information on StockX anymore?
Contact StockX Directly
The outlook for deleting your payment method may seem bleak, but not all is lost. StockX gives you some options when it comes to your billing information. You can contact the customer support directly and ask them to remove all of your billing info. Just go to this page and follow these steps:

- Make your case in the “Description” box and then select “Next”.
- You will get a notification that you’ve successfully created a Case. Select “Finish”.
You can follow the same method to ask StockX to deactivate or suspend your account. This means that you still get to keep your account, but it’s going to remain inactive.

There are no manual buttons for any of these actions. But keep in mind that StockX will retain some of your information. They’re not obligated legally to delete all of the data you provided.
How to Update Your Payment Method
Here’s the thing, if you intend on using StockX to buy and sell sneakers and other accessories, you simply have to provide a payment method.
And if you don’t, then you’re better off deactivating or deleting your account. But you should still be aware of how to change your buying and shipping info if you have to. In case you know that a credit card is low on funds, for example, or it’s expiring. What you need to do is:
- Go to the StockX page and then select “My Account”.
- Select “Settings and scroll down to “Buying Info”.
- Select “Edit” (green button).
- Select PayPal as a payment method or a Credit Card.
- Enter the new information and click on “Submit Credit Card”.
You can also change your Seller Info. Scroll down a bit again and select “Edit” next to “Seller Info”. Fill in the credit card information. Keep in mind that in the Seller Info, you can’t add a PayPal account, just a credit card.
However, you can add a PayPal or bank account to the Payout Info. PayPal payouts are faster and usually more convenient. But you can also choose to have a bank transfer that may take several business days.
StockX Needs Assurances
And that’s why the company won’t let you just click “Delete” when it comes to your payment method. It’s not impossible to delete your billing info, but you have to go through them. And it’s something they’re likely to let you do only once. You can’t request it whenever you change your mind.
They have it in their discretion to suspend your account if they’re suspicious about your activity. If you don’t want to use StockX anymore, you can always deactivate or delete your account.
