Does Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus Have LED Notification
If you’re reading this article, it’s either because you’ve just found out about this, as the title caught your eye, or you knew about it but you’re curious if there’s any way to put these Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus LED notifications to rest.
Indeed, the LED flashes that these smartphones generate when you have unread notifications aren’t something that all users appreciate. And that’s despite the fact that the feature is supposed to spare you from having to unlock the device just to check if there is anything requiring your attention. With the LED feature turned on, you only check when it starts to flash.
Of course, if you feel annoyed by it, you have all the reasons to shut it off. Here is the path to access the LED Indicator option and enable or disable this feature however you want:
- Go to the Home screen;
- Swipe the Notification shade;
- Tap on the gear icon;
- Select the Sound and Notifications menu;
- Tap on the LED Indicator;
- Switch its toggle from On to Off or the other way around.
Once you’ve turned it off, the LED from the top of the display will no longer blink whenever you have unread messages, notifications, or missed calls. Whatever happens on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus will be completely private and you are the only one to know that notifications are waiting for you.
And just in case you were wondering, no, you cannot disable the different notification types individually. You either shut off the LED notification for all the notifications, or you turn it On.
