Does Kies Work With Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus?
Samsung Kies 3 was an amazing PC-mobile synchronization app. Now those of you who have switched to the latest Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, there is some concern out there about the compatibility of the service with the new phones. For once, the concerns are true, as the new smartphones don’t support its parent company’s Kei service.
As a result, Samsung users will have to court different software altogether for their new phones and you can try all you want but both the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus won’t connect with a PC via Kies. But don’t go calling out Samsung yet, as these new phones support the new Samsung Smart Switch instead which is essentially the same tool to connect and share over PC. So how can you start with Smart Switch?
For starters, just like Kies 3, all you need to do is install the new software in your PC. It is available for download in both Windows and Mac from the official Samsung website. The file size is just 37 mb and here are the links for both platforms:
So the service is really simple to use and once you have installed it in your system, all you need to do is connect your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus and you are good to go. You will see a list of options like Photos, videos, contacts, messages, etc in front of you once the smartphone is connected and you can select accordingly.
