How To Use Eye Tracking On Samsung Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has many great new features and some have called it the best smartphones of 2015. One icon that people keep asking questions about is what is the eye tracking icon in the status bar of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. For those that want to know what the eye icon means in the Galaxy S6 status bar, the eye symbol means that Smart Stay is activated, which is a feature that can illuminate the display as long as you look at it.

The Galaxy S6 eye tracking symbol appears at regular intervals and then disappears again. What this means is that when the eye icon is activate and on the status appear, it tells you that the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is checking to see if you’re watching the screen or not. This works with the front camera of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and checks for simple patterns, whether you’re still watching the screen to activate the Smart Stay feature.
