How To Delete Songs From Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus

The Play Music App library is a very much appreciated entertainment option on any Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone. But when you’re gathering in there too many songs that you no longer need, you might want to do a little bit of cleanup. If you’re looking for more information on how to delete songs from Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, you will be happy to discover that you have two different options.

Actually, it all depends on where you have stored the songs. If you saved them directly on your smartphone or only in the Play Music App’s library.

Method #1 – How to delete songs stored on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

If the music is stored right on your device, all you have to do is to locate the particular song or the album that you want to get rid of. You select it and you hit the Menu icon. From the list of options, just tap on the Delete command and confirm with the OK button to officially remove that song or album. Once you do that, the song will no longer be on your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus.

Method #2 – How to delete songs stored in the Music Play library

If you tried to delete a song but you just don’t have this option when you access the Menu, it means that the song is in fact stored in the library, not on the device, available through Google Play Music. To get rid of it, you will have to log into Google Play and from there to access the Music library. Locate the song you want to delete, again, tap the Menu icon and, this time, you should be able to see the Delete Song button. Tap on it, confirm, and that was all.

With your Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone cleaned of all the old songs, time to freshen up your music selection.
