How To Fix Bad Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus Battery Life

Now the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus just like any other phone in the market will give you battery problems during your lifetime of use. Now bad battery timing usually means the plethora of apps that you might be using on your phone or any possible bugs that might exist on your OS.

Another reason could be that you have turned on your Bluetooth at all times and Bluetooth sucks battery unlike anything else. Here are some steps you could take to stop the battery draining too fast on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus:

Reboot or Reset Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

When too many apps are causing the battery problems, it is sometimes best to factory reset your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. We all cram our phone with all the gibberish in the world and unruly apps and the factory hard reset allows us a great option to start over again on our phones.

Disable Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is a big battery killer on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus if you keep it on all the time. Most people don’t want their phones to be automatically connected to the Internet at all times. So, it is a good idea to turn it off when it is not required. Also, if you know that you are out of the range of Wi-Fi and are using 3G/4G Internet instead, it makes no sense to keep Wi-Fi on.

Disable Or Manage Background Sync

When synchronized apps are working they also consume a fair amount of battery to do the constant updating and stuff. The best way to make sure that you can make the most out of your Galaxy S8 battery is to close this synchronization process when not in the need. You can do it by swiping from the top of the screen using two fingers and then tap on the option of “Sync” to disable it. If it is already disable don’t enable it instead. It normally lights up when the option is on.

You can also try an alternative method to do it by going to settings option in the menu and then select accounts and then disable sync. So, with the Facebook and other sync out of the way, your phone will last much longer on the same battery!

Use Galaxy S8 Power-Saving Mode

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a new power-saving mode that helps you get the most out of your battery. There are options in it to stop data usage, stop cellular coverage and performance features like GPS and even the processor of the Galaxy S8 itself. You can also choose to do it manually or automatically as well.

Disable LTE, Location, Bluetooth

Using your phone for features like location tracking, LTE internet and Bluetooth on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus as we mentioned before can drain your battery really fast. So when you don’t need these services, try turning them on and off according to your requirement and you will see the performance of the battery increasing several folds. Now the power saving mode can do all this for you on its own but if you’d rather do it manually you can always do this.

Reduce Tethering

Internet tethering is great for mobile hotspot usage but it is a big battery killer on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus. So, I would advise you to ration the us of internet tethering and only use it when its necessary or else the battery will be gone in a matter of hours (with a full battery).
