How To Fix No Service Error On LG V10
One common issue often experienced by owners of the LG V10 smartphone is the “no service” error. There are several different causes for this error. The most basic cause, of course, is that you don’t have service; your plan has expired or you never had a plan. In this article we will assume that this is not the case and that there is some technical issue causing the “no service” error.
Checking the Radio Signal
The primary reason this error occurs is that the radio inside the smartphone has been turned off. This sometimes happens automatically when there is a problem with the LG V10’s WiFi or GPS service.
How to Fix Radio Signal Issue
Fortunately it is relatively easy to fix the radio signal issue.
- Go to the Dial pad
- Type in “*#*#4636#*#*” NOTE: There is no need to press the send button, the phone should automatically offer Service mode
- Enter Service mode
- Select on “Device information” or “Phone information”
- Select Run Ping test
- Click on the Turn Radio Off button and then the LG will restart
- Select reboot
IMEI Issues
Another possible reason for a “no service” error is an IMEI issue with the phone. This can occur because the phone has an unknown IMEI, or the IMEI has been nulled for some reason. Our article on how to restore IMEI number should be helpful if this is the issue.
Change SIM Card
You may also have an issue with your SIM card. Try removing and reseating the SIM card, or replacing it with a different one, and see if that fixes the “No Service” error.
