How To See Secret Internet History On Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a couple of pre-installed apps. While not all of them might be particularly useful to the regular user, the standard browser is one of them. If you decide to give it a try instead of installing third-party browsers such as Chrome or Mozilla, you will be impressed with all its practical features.

The topic of this article, however, is not the default Internet browser of your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone, but rather how to make the best of its Anonymous navigational mode. When you enable the Anonymous mode, the device will no longer store your browsing history, the cookies or any other data stored when freely surfing the web.

To activate the Anonymous mode on a smartphone like Samsung Galaxy S8 or even Galaxy S8 Plus, all you have to do is to look into the browser’s settings.

  1. Open the default internet browser;
  2. Look at the bottom right corner for Tabs and tap on it;
  3. Select Turn On Secret, from the bottom left corner;
  4. Once you did all that, you can continue navigating under the Anonymous mode or you can even set up a password for the protection of your secret mode.

To better understand what you just did, from this moment on, you will be working on an internet browser (the secret mode) inside the default internet browser of your smartphone. The Anonymous mode, as many users still call it, is actually no longer available since the Android Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6. Now you have this secret mode as an alternative, that can be password protected or not, however you choose, and that will prevent the browser from storing any details of your online navigation.

If you really want the anonymous feature back on, the only solution, for the time being, is to use a third-party browser. Dolphin Zero, from what we hear, is one of the most popular alternatives. Until then, however, feel free to use the anonymous mode of your Samsung Galaxy S8 Android browser, also known as the secret mode.
