How to See Your TikTok Watch History
There are lots of ways to use TikTok but scrolling through hours upon hours of short videos is fun enough for most of us. As there are so many clips to watch on the platform, you might sometimes forget to save or like a video that you came across and want to view again in the future. If you’re looking for a specific TikTok video you’ve seen recently, you can find it from your TikTok watch history.
What is TikTok Watch History?
Tiktok’s watch history includes all the videos you have watched over the last 180 days. Live videos and Stories aren’t included in your watch history, though. It is also possible to erase your watch history, but you should remember the following points:
- Once you delete a video from your watch history, you won’t find it under the “watched videos” filter.
- Deleted videos from your TikTok watch history are not included when you download your account data.
- People who posted the video won’t see your profile in the post view history.
- In some cases, your video recommendations on TikTok might change after deleting your watch history.

- Tap Profile located at the bottom.
- Select the hamburger icon at the top right.
- Tap Settings and privacy in the next menu.
- Select Activity Center and then choose Watch history to see the videos you’ve scrolled through.
From here, you’ll be able to see all the TikTok videos you’ve watched in the last 180 days.
How to Delete Your TikTok Watch History

You could previously temporarily prevent TikTok from saving your watch history. As of this writing, however, the feature is no longer available so you’ll have to delete your watch history regularly if you don’t want to keep a trace of the content you consume on the platform.
Besides deleting the watch history, you should remove your profile picture on TikTok if you want to remain anonymous on the platform.
How to Download Your TikTok Watch History
You can download your account data from TikTok before deleting your watch history if you want to keep a log of this data. Besides your watch history, you’ll also get your post history, comment history, etc. There’s no way to request solely for your watch history.
- Open the TikTok app.
- Tap Profile located at the bottom.
- Select the hamburger icon at the top right.
- Tap Account from the menu.
- Select Download your data and proceed.
- Choose the file format you want to get your data in and tap Request data once done.
TikTok can take up to four days to process your request. You will get an email containing a download link with your account data.
Keep Track of What You Watch on TikTok
With this feature, you have more control over your watch history on TikTok. Unfortunately, watch history can no longer be disabled so if you don’t like getting it tracked, you should browse without an account instead. There are lots of other great features on TikTok that you should take advantage of to post better videos on the platform. This includes using TikTok’s voice changer feature to make funny videos.
