The way that Motorola Smartswitch works is that it connects directly to your iCloud and allows you to download your data from there. It is also accompanied by a thoughtful “Change your iMessage settings to avoid disruptions in receiving text messages.

When you set up your new device, you’ll be prompted with a pop-up link to download the Smart Switch app. Tap “DOWNLOAD AND OPEN” to start the installation.
