How To Turn OFF Keyboard Click Sounds in iOS 10 For iPhone And iPad
All iPhones and iPads have sound features on these Apple devices. This includes a clicking sound every time you type on the iPhone keyboard to notify you when something is being typed on iOS 10. Some iPhone and iPad users enjoy the sound effect as it helps them to type on the virtual keyboard easier. While other iPhone and iPad users find it to be annoying of a clicking sound when typing on the iPhone keyboard. If you don’t want to hear the clicky sound effects when typing in iOS 10, you can quickly turn the keyboard clicking feature off and have the key taps stay quiet.
When disabling the key click sound effects on your iPhone and iPad, you can permanently make changes of the clicking sound through a settings change, or if you just want to be quiet for a short time, you can use a broader mute option too to stop the clicking sounds on the iPhone and iPad.

Turn Off Keyboard Click Sound Effects in iOS 10 Permanently
This works to disable the keyboard click sounds on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The setting option is available in virtually every version of iOS and is always located in the same place:
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad and choose “Sounds”
- Scroll all the way to to the bottom and find “Keyboard Clicks” flip that switch to the “OFF” position
- Exit out of Settings
These changes will instantly happen and allow to turn off the clicking sounds on your iPhone or iPad. You can go to any app in iOS 10 that you would type and normally hear the click sounds, you’ll find them to be nonexistent and you are no longer announcing to the surrounding vicinity that you are typing on an iOS 10 keyboard.
If you want to clicking sounds to make noise again, you can go back into the Settings > Sound and toggling the Keyboard Clicks switch back ON will make the click on tap sounds appear again.
