Huawei P9: How To Turn OFF Background Apps

The best option is to disable as many background apps as possible. When you need to access an app, you can simply tap to open it and access it manually instead of processes running in the background.
To close background applications on your Huawei P9, simply follow the steps that we have outlined below.
How to close background applications:
- Make sure your Huawei P9 is switched on.
- Tap the Recent apps button available on your device.
- Tap the ‘Active apps’ button
- Either select to close each app manually, or tap ‘End all’ to close all running apps
- Tap OK if a pop-up prompt appears
How to close and disable background data for all services:
- Make sure the Huawei P9 is switched on.
- Open the settings app and then tap ‘Data usage.’
- Tap the menu button found at the top right side of the screen.
- Tap to turn off the “Auto sync data” feature.
- When prompted, tap OK.

- Tap to turn off the “Sync Twitter” button.
Facebook requires you to disable background data from their own menus, follow these instructions:
- Make sure the Huawei P9 is switched on.
- Open Facebook then tap the Facebook settings menu
- Tap the “Refresh Interval” option.
- Tap ‘Never.’
