How to Invoke Siri on iPhone X

Isn’t awesome to have your own Jarvis that follows every command you gave it on your computer or your phone? – Actually, you have! And its name is Siri.

Siri, your friendly Artificial Intelligence assistant, has helped a lot of iPhone users since it was introduced by Apple to its handheld gadgets. Almost everything, from calling your friends instantly, creating reminders for events for you, helping you find your way to your destination, and even sending a text message to your wife just by uttering the words “I’ll be home late. Prepare me a great dinner!”, can be done just by simply pressing your thumb onto the Home button of your iPhone. But the question is, how can we reach Siri without any Home button now?

We too panicked when Apple released the leak of its latest flagship phone, the iPhone X, since its design boasts a bezel-less architecture and a Home-button less hardware. The first questions that came to everyone’s mind are that, “How to go to your Home screen without the Home button then?”, “How to access to call Siri without the Home button on it?”, and a lot more of how-to’s question with the Home button on it at the end.

Of course, Apple, being the tech giant that it is, have looked over that matter and made sure that there will be no holes on their A-game, which is the production of iPhone X. What they did was simply out of the box thinking, which we think, and you might too, might not like at first.

What they did was replace the Home button with gestures that will invoke or summon those that became affected by the absence of their Home button. Like the Home screen for example, which was super simple way back the previous models of iPhones. Simply pressing the Home button shall redirect you to the Home Screen. Now in iPhone X, you have to get used to the gesture to invoke the Home screen. It can get awhile for you to get a hold on to it but we can promise that it isn’t that hard. Of course, that’s not the only feature that got affected by the absence of our beloved Home button. Siri too got affected.

Siri was one of the affected features when Apple decided to remove the Home button from its arsenal. Luckily, Apple is really concerned about its clients and users and made the summoning of Siri even easier than before. Invoking Siri on your iPhone X

Activating Siri with your Voice

• Double check whether you have already set up Hey Siri on your iPhone X. If not, then proceed to your Settings app → Siri & Search → Listen for Siri  then wrap it up
• Next, utter the words, “Hey Siri”, and she shall come forth to tend to your needs

Activating Siri with your Side Button

• If you want to take it more physical and access Siri manually on your phone, all you have to do is tap then long press the side button for 2-3 seconds

Deactivating Siri

• Now that you managed to learn how to invoke it, it’s time to learn how to exit it. In order to get out of its menu, simply swipe your finger in an upward motion starting from the lowermost part of your Home screen

Siri has helped thousands, maybe even millions of user around the globe with its easy to use and a wide range of functions feature, and its yet to help much more with the Apple’s latest flagship phone, iPhone X (once it gets cheaper though).
