For those that have recently bought the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you may want to know how to rename your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7. The process is very easy and will allow new users to rename the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Changing the name of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus will allow you to tell the difference between many other devices and will make it easier when connecting your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to iTunes or using “Find My iPhone”.

Rename iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in 3 steps

  1. Select “Settings” on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus and then go to General > About.
  2. At the very top of the screen you will see the current “Name” of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. Tap on the name and change it to whatever you would like.
  3. Select “Done” once you have changed the name of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.

  1. Open iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC

  3. Select the Device button in the top right corner of the iTunes and select the iPhone 7 touch you want to change the name of.

The only negative about this process is that when using AirDop between iOS devices and the OS X, the Apple ID will appear instead of the device name on older software. But if you have the updated software on both your Mac OS X and iOS device than the new name change of your iOS device will appear when using Airdrop between devices.
