The bad news is that the Silent Mode feature name is actually “Do Not Disturb” Mode. Silent Mode allows for more flexibility when selecting the apps and people that you do or don’t want to hear from. The following is guide on how to learn how to use Do Not Disturb Mode instead of Silent Mode on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

1. Turn on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.
2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center.
3. Then select on the crescent moon icon to turn on Do Not Disturb mode.
4. Do Not Disturb mode is not acitvated.

You’ll see the crescent moon in the status bar of your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus to know that Do Not Disturb mode is activated. If you want to turn Do Not Disturb mode back off, just follow the above steps again and just select on the crescent moon icon to turn OFF Do Not Disturb mode.
