iPhone Trap Studio Review

With trap music more popular than ever, if you have ever wanted to become an electronic music producer and create your own trap records, now is the time to start your journey. But how, you may ask? It is quite expensive to take music classes and they do take a lot of time as well.

Well, with the iPhone Trap Studio app, you don’t have to worry about any of those things.

It doesn’t matter if you have never taken a music class before. It also doesn’t matter if you don’t have any knowledge of music theory.

All that’s important here is that you like trap music and want to test yourself in creating it. If that’s the case, keep reading as this article will review the Trap Studio app in detail.

Create Your Own Electronic Music with Trap Studio

The Trap Studio app by Andy Edwards is packed with lots of different features that have simplified the process of creating, recording, and sharing electronic music. You can literally make a catchy beat in just a few taps using this app. Include some lifelike drums, bass, special effects, and voila – you have created your very first electronic melody.

Trap Studio has quite a user-friendly interface, so you will probably get the hang of the app rather quickly.

This music creation app contains more than 350 sounds from Prime Loops. World-famous artists, such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Skrillex, DJ Frank E., and many others, have included Prime Loop sounds in their chart-topping tracks. Knowing that you can use samples that your favorite artists used as well simply adds more value to this app, making it even more fun to use.

You can use the dual OSC (Oxford Synthesizer Company) synthesizers, apply different effects to them, import your own sounds, and create something unique. But that’s not where the possibilities end.

Let’s take a look at Trap Studio’s full list of features.

Digital Audio Workstation

Just like all professional music creation programs used on computers, Trap Studio features a timeline where you can lay out your entire song. You can then trim, cut, loop, and add various effects to each of your tracks.

Unlimited Tracks

You can use as many samples and synthesizer tracks as you would like. This allows you to have complete creative freedom while making your very own trap song.

BPM Detection

Setting up a certain tempo is one of the most important elements in creating music. That will set the tone for other elements that you wish to add onto your track.

With Trap Studio, you can adjust the tempo however you’d like. The app will show you your song’s current BPM (beats per minute).

Once you change your song’s BPM, the app will automatically calculate your track’s length and adjust its waveform.

More than 350 Samples

As mentioned above, the app features more than 350 samples that you can freely use for your tracks. The samples are divided into four different categories: Bass, Drums, Synth, and SFX. All of those samples have been provided by Prime Loops.

Dropbox Interaction

With the latest updates, Trap Studio can easily interact with Dropbox. Namely, you can import your own music samples directly from the Dropbox platform.

Create Samples

You can use the dual OSC synthesizer, Envelope generators, 5-octave Arpeggio and Modulation, and mix the volume to easily create exactly what you have in mind.

Different Effects

Trap Studio allows its users to add special effects to their tracks. The special effects include Chorus, Garble, Reverb, Distortion, Compressor, Flanger, Echo, and ParamEQ.

You can preview all of these effects live before applying them to your tracks.

Metronome

You can use a click track (metronome) to make sure that you’re not “escaping” from your song’s time signature.

Save and Load Projects

The iPhone Trap Studio app allows you to save your entire project and load it whenever you want. This comes in quite handy for larger projects that you simply cannot finish in one day. In that case, all that you have to do is save your project and you will be able to continue your work later.

Share Tracks

You can easily upload your tracks to SoundCloud or any other third-party app that can share audio. You can even share your saved tracks via email.

Preview Solo Track

The Preview Solo Track feature allows you to hear pitch adjustments, volume, and effects live before adding them to your tracks.

.wav Format

If you want better quality, you can choose to export your files to .wav (uncompressed) format.

Full Documentation

All users can view this app’s documentation at any given time.

The Latest Update

What’s good about the Trap Studio app is that it gets updated pretty frequently. Its latest update has improved their server’s speed and the app’s overall stability.

Where Can You Get Trap Studio?

Trap Studio is only available for iOS devices. You can download it on your iPhone (or any other iOS device) from the official Apple App store.

Unfortunately, the app isn’t free. However, it isn’t expensive. You can get it for $1.99. Now that you know all of its features, it’s up to you to decide whether this is a good investment or not.
