Not Getting Texts On LG V30 (Solved)
Sometimes you have those days when you don’t get texts on the LG V30 and that can be a huge hassle. When this issue occurs, you will not be able to get text messages or SMS from iPhone users. There are two issues that can be addressed simply by following the instructions below, which will guide you on how to fix not getting texts on the LG V30.
One of the issues when it comes to not getting texts, is when you cannot receive text or SMS from someone who has sent a text from an iPhone. And the other issue is when you can not send texts or SMS to someone who owns either a Windows, Android, Blackberry phone, due to the fact that the messages are sent as iMessages.
Both of these issues are caused when you just recently used an iPhone and sent iMessages with it and then you transfer your sim card to an LG V30. If you were not able to deactivate iMessage before using the sim card on the LG V30, other iOS device will use iMessage in sending text or sms messages. Fortunately, we can provide you with an explanation on how to fix the above mentioned issue.
How To Fix LG V30 Not Receiving Text Messages:
- First, place the sim card into your iPhone again, the one that you put in your LG V30.
- Next, make sure that your phone is properly connected to a network such as LTE or 3G.
- Finally, go to Settings, and then Message and then turn off iMessage.
If you are no longer in possession of the iPhone you used, and can not deactivate the iMessage, the best course of action would be to deactivate iMessage. After you get to the deregister iMessage page, go to the bottom of the page and choose the option “no longer have your iPhone?” Under this option, there is a field where you can input your phone number and choose your region. After that, tap Send code. Input the code in the field “enter confirmation code” and then press submit.
After all of that has been done, you should be able to receive text messages on your LG V30 from iPhone users.
