Will There Be a Season 3 of Jack Ryan?

Jack Ryan comes from the brilliant mind of American novel writer, Tom Clancy. Jack is the main character of the so-called Ryanverse, a fictional universe revolving around him, featured in numerous novels.

Not only does Jack Ryan have amazing source material, but it also features John Krasinski, who plays the titular character. Jack Ryan is an action-packed drama, with elements of the thriller genre. Season 2 was released on October 31^st last year, just four months prior to the writing of this article.

And yes, there will be a season 3 of Jack Ryan. Read on for all the exclusive, juicy details.

When Is Season 3 of Jack Ryan Going to Air?

Unfortunately, the official airing date for season 3 is yet to be revealed. Don’t worry though, you won’t have to wait too long. The episodes are already marked to air in 2020 on IMDB. Using some logic and common sense, we can conclude that season 3 will arrive near the end of 2020.

The release will probably occur in December 2020, or perhaps early 2021, if there are any delays. It shouldn’t air later than that though. And there shouldn’t be a long gap like there was between seasons one and two of Jack Ryan.

That said, Amazon isn’t exactly in a rush with this show, but the showrunners and cast are working hard to deliver the new season as soon as possible.

So, What About the Cast in Season 3?

Sadly, John Krasinski was let go, and Adam Sandler will take over the role of Jack Ryan. Just kidding! John Krasinski remains in the lead role. He’s certainly one of the main reasons why the show is so successful.

Who would’ve thought that Jim from The Office had it in him to become such an excellent, cunning spy? On a serious note, his career has taken off since then. A Quiet Place was amazing, and so is Jack Ryan. And John does an excellent playing the part.

Wendell Pierce should also be returning as James Greer, as should Abbie Cornish, who plays Cathy Mueller. The rest of the season 2 cast should remain too, including Noomi Rapace, Jordi Molla, John Hoogenakker, reprising their respective roles.

Can We Guess the Plot of Season 3?

Unfortunately, there’s not much confirmed about the plot of season 3. We can expect a lot of character development, at the same pace as the previous seasons. The action surely won’t be lacking, and the main characters will again be sent on missions all over the world.

In season 2, there were scenes in South America and Russia, so who knows where they’ll end up next. The show was also shot in the United States, Canada, the UK, and Morocco. With so many shooting locations and such an intricate plot, the show is anything but boring.

Whilst trying to give you as much information we can, we don’t want to spoil anything for those who still haven’t seen all of season 2. If you’re among those people, go and watch it right away – it really is that good.

Sadly, Tom Clancy passed away in 2013. But he left us with many great novels, including the Jack Ryan series which spawned many movie adaptations, and more recently, the Jack Ryan TV series. Although Tom Clancy isn’t with us anymore, he’ll always be remembered for his excellent work that has stood the test of time.

For that reason, there’s plenty of material for not just one, but many more seasons to come. Like we said, Jack Ryan will return later this year, or in early 2021 at the latest. John Krasinski will remain the leading actor, and most of the main cast and characters should return too.
