How to Send a Picture on the POF App

Plenty of Fish is one of the biggest online dating websites in the world. With new features like sending photos, they’re trying to keep ahead of the game by offering more to their users.

If you’ve just made your POF profile and want to send photos to your contacts, we’ve got you covered. In this article, we’ll tell you all about the process and introduce you to some of POFs new features.

Uploading Profile Pictures

To send images to other members, you need to upload them to your profile.

Posting new photos is the best way to catch someone’s attention and start chatting on POF. Accounts can upload as many as eight photos, but if you’re an upgraded member, this rises to 16.

If you’ve decided to enrich your profile with one or more images, here’s what you need to do:

Go to your profile and select the Upload photo option.
Select a photo from your albums, upload a photo from Facebook or make a new one.
Once the photo is uploaded, check if you want to have it “Public” or “Private.”

Once you’ve finished uploading photos, you can send them to your POF contacts.

Sending Pictures on POF

After you’ve started a conversation with a member of POF, you’ll unlock “Conversation Powers” which enables you to attach images to your messages. To attach a picture using an Android or iOS app, here’s what you should do:

Open the conversation.
Click “+” to on the left side of the message box.

In case you don’t see it, you haven’t been talking to the member long enough.

Tab the image icon that resembles a landscape picture.
Now you’ll see all the photos you previously uploaded to your profile.
Choose one or more images you want to attach by tapping.
Type your message.
Tap Send!

If you’re using POF.com on the computer, the process is slightly different:

Login to your POF profile.
Open the conversation with a member.
Click on the paperclip icon.

If you don’t see it, you haven’t unlocked your Conversation Powers.

Now, you’ll see your uploaded photos.
Tap the photo(s) you wish to attach.
Type your message.
Click Send!

What Are Conversation Powers and How to Unlock Them?

When two members of the POF community get to know each other quite well, a specific set of features called “Conversation Powers” becomes available in their chat. They can access options to send voice messages, engage in a voice call, and share photos.

The more you chat, ask questions, or engage in conversation, the faster you’ll unlock these features.

How to Send Voice Messages?

Voice messages can bring people together in many ways. Talking to someone can create a more intimate environment and encourage them to meet.

In case you’re wondering how to send a voice message on POF from your Android or iOS app, this is how it’s done:

Open your conversation.
Click “+” to on the left side of the message box.

In case you don’t see it, you haven’t been talking to the member long enough.

Tab the microphone icon.
Tap and hold the microphone icon (it will move from left to right) to record your voice message.
To listen to your message before sending, tap on Play icon. If you want to delete the message, tap “X.”
When you’re happy with the message, tap the Send icon on the bottom right side of the screen.

When you receive an answer, turn on your speakers (or raise the volume), and tap the Play icon.

How to Start a Voice Call?

The idea behind a voice call option on POF was for users to protect their privacy. Voice Call enabled them to talk to other members without sharing their phone numbers or accounts on social media.

After you have your Conversation Powers unlocked, both users need to enable voice calling on the POF app. If you want to start a voice call on POF, follow these steps:

Open the conversation.
Click “+” to on the left side of the message box.
In case you don’t see it, you haven’t been talking to the member long enough.
Find the phone icon and tap to start your call.

What Are Priority Messages?

For members who want their messages to be on top of other people’s inboxes, there is a Plenty of Fish feature to make it happen. Priority messages are regular messages that will stay at the top of member’s inbox until they read it.

They stay there for 29 days in case the member hasn’t logged in for a while. Also, priority messages increase your chances of starting a conversation since they function as reminders for unread messages.

If you want to send a Priority Message, you’ll need to choose the “send as priority” option. In case you changed your mind, turn this option off.
